AFFIRMATIONS
“One of the most important keys for eliminating insecurities and establishing a habit of self-love is the use of affirmations. These are simply expressing in words what we honestly want and who we honestly want to be as a treasured child of God, and then repeating those words over and over until the subconscious mind accepts them as fact so that our behavior will follow accordingly. Through affirmations we can think ourselves healthier, stronger, more positive, prettier, more handsome, kinder, more patient, more confident, more courageous – whatever will help us love ourselves more.
If
you’re wondering how to make up your own affirmations, think about the
determinism and “negative affirmations” you’ve accepted as truth.
You’ve learned to believe them because you’ve heard them so often,
right? Well, you can learn to
believe their exact opposites if you hear them every bit as often, and that’s
where affirmations come in. Just as
you can find out what you are by discovering what you’re not, your first
affirmations can be a counter-attack to anything and everything negative about
your self-image, no matter where it comes from.
Starting
with you. Never put yourself down,
even jokingly. Declare it strictly
forbidden. No more “I’m
stupid.” No more “I’m fat.” No more “I’m clumsy,” or “I’m
ugly,” or “I’m too short,” or “I’m too tall,” or any form of “I
can’t.” You’re replacing
those a hundred times a day with, “I’m very smart about many things,” and
“I have the power to have any body I want,” and “I’m graceful,” and
“I’m attractive,” and especially- “I can!”
As
for the people around you, if they put you down or undermine loving yourself in
any way, they are off limits too, unless they learn to shape up.
Insulting words and behavior are unacceptable, it is that simple.
Being around anyone who doesn’t make you feel good about yourself does
more psychic damage than you might realize.
Don’t forget, we’re all here to learn to overcome negativity – not
to accept it, embrace it, invite it into our homes and cook dinner for it.
Most
of all, for every insult anyone aims at you, by their words or by their actions,
make it a habit to instantly neutralize it with an affirmation, over and over
again, until you believe your affirmation more surely than you could ever
believe anything negative about yourself. Try
replacing insults and negativity with affirmations for three short months, and
you’ll be amazed at the openness to magic and miracles you’ll create.
There
is a logical but often overlooked reason why affirmations work: They are direct
communication with the soul mind, and the soul mind, with its eternal knowledge
and wisdom, always recognizes and resonates with the truth.
How do we know that affirmations are the truth?
Because no matter what details we include and what exact words we use,
affirmations are positive acknowledgments of our sacred value as God’s
children. They are vital
nourishment for the soul mind, and an immediate, magical, and miraculous way to
smile at the God inside us and feel Him smile back.”
“Prayers are our contact with the God of which we’re each a part. Affirmations, on the other hand, are our contact with the God who is a part of each of us. Making a daily habit of both prayers and affirmations really create miracles in our lives.
Affirmations
reinforce those divine elements in us that are our birthright – dignity,
self-respect, hope, compassion, peace of mind, and intimacy wit the Higher Power
whose voice resonates to the depth of our spirits, just waiting to be heard.
Literature
is rich with countless beautiful affirmations, from the Bible to the Koran to
the Talmud to the writings of Buddhist masters to poetry to anything you
yourself have read or written that ignites the fire and truth of the Holy Spirit
in some lasting way in your soul. The
several I have included here are the ones I use every day in whatever moments of
quiet solitude I can find – in the shower, in my car, as I fall asleep, any
time, no matter how brief, that I can declare “mine.”
Affirmations are as much a daily habit in my life as brushing my teeth,
and I promise you, they are the one addiction that can bring you true ecstacy
and health, without ever costing you a single dime.”

“God
has granted me the strength and fortitude to survive this day with peace, love,
and joy. I am protected from all
negativity around me by the shield of the white light of the Holy Spirit.”
*
“Throughout
this day I will picture myself and my loved ones safe inside a perfect white
bubble of God’s light. I will
even surround my enemies with that same bubble of light, so that God may disarm
and dissolve the negativity and darkness that separates us.”
*
“Today
I ask every cell in my body to respond and react as they did at the age I felt
my healthiest, most energetic best. I
will negate all illness, knowing that my mind is stronger than my body.”
*
“I
will move closer today to becoming the person I wish to be.
By making a list of all the undesirable things I am not, I will affirm
and celebrate all the wonderful things that I am and build on those things
toward spiritual perfection.”
*
“On
this day I declare with the almighty strength of God’s power that I deserve
abundance and the financial means to be comfortable, and that I will joyfully
share my abundance with others less fortunate than I.”
*
“Today
I will exude an aura of beauty and light to everyone around me, with a bright
glow of orange radiating from the core of my breast to make others feel blessed
and loved.”
*
“I
begin this day with the vision of a pure white cloud above my head, and inside
that cloud I place all my deepest and most cherished wishes for myself and for
those I love. I then ask God to let
that cloud gently descend over me, until it surrounds me and becomes a part of
me.”
*
“I
will listen closely today to this vehicle I know as my body.
I will not negate any pain or illness that needs expert medical
attention. But any chronic or minor
pain or illness I will condense into a ball of fire, release it from my body,
secure it in a safe of thick lead, and blow it up into a harmless, impotent
vapor.”
*
“I
fill find a quiet moment for myself today and write a Letter to the Universe,
addressed to God, telling Him all my wishes, my heartaches, my abuses, and my
joys. I will then burn the letter
in a safe place, trusting the fire’s energy to carry my words to their divine
destination.”
*
“Today
at the beginning of each new hour I will remind myself that I am young, I am
vital, I an accomplish any goal, and I possess great beauty of both mind and
spirit.”
*
“I
affirm on this day that my intellect and my emotions will be cemented together
as one, forming a perfect funnel through which God’s messages and energy flow
to heal me and those I love.”
*
“As
I start this day I feel a surge of strength that I will devote to following my
life’s blueprint and perfecting my spiritual purposes.”
*
“I
am from God. I am part of God, and
God is part of me. Therefore I
cannot be diminished, I am strong, I am loved, and I am loving, because I am
living this and every day in accordance with God’s great plan.”
*
“As
I face my grief today, I will not bury it, but instead I will consent to it. And by consenting o it, I ask God to help me draw strength
from His divine plan and guidance and surround me with His Angels, knowing the
truth that I will see and share eternity with my loved ones again in the perfect
joy of The Other Side.”
*
“Today
I will not just look at the people around me.
I will really see the divine spirits inside them and love them without
prejudice as the children of God I know we all are.
I affirm that my greatest purpose is not to expect love but to give it
freely, asking nothing in return.”
*
“I
will love myself completely today, regarding myself with pride and honor.
Because my soul and my spirit come from God, I cherish myself too much to
let anyone deface or defame me in any way.”

For
nine nights, at precisely nine o’clock, light a candle and repeat:
“I
am a blessed child of God. I am
well. I am happy.
Great abundance is on its way because, as God’s child, I am empowered
to create miracles.”
